New Orleans, La. - The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Seven as of Wednesday. The previous six depressions of the 2013 hurricane season have all reached Tropical Storm strength and been given a name, but so far none have made it to hurricane strength.

Tropical Depression Seven is expected to find the same fate. The official forecast predicts the storm will reach the 34 mph threshold for a tropical storm by Thursday morning and gain the name Gabrielle, but conditions are expected to be unfavorable for any further strengthening as the storm turns north northeast and moves back out over the open Atlantic Ocean.
