Jefferson Parish Councilman Ben Zahn on Thursday eveningcapped off three days of drama in the parish's hospital lease saga with anangry email to the consulting firm that has worked on the deal for a year and ahalf. Zahn, addressing executives with the firm, Kaufman Hall, wrote that he is"very frustrated and disappointed in the overall process" of selecting aprivate-sector operator to lease West Jefferson Medical Center and EastJefferson General Hospital.
Zahn was specifically addressing what he viewed as KaufmanHall's about-face in refusing to recommend one of three finalists: Ochsner HealthSystem, Louisiana Children's Medical Center or Nashville, Tenn.
