A man who was shot in the chest in the 7th Ward on Monday night has died, New Orleans police said.
The shooting happened on Monday just after 10 p.m. in the 2500 block of St. Anthony Street. A 51-year old man was shot in the chest, according to officer Frank B. Robertson III, NOPD spokesman. He was taken to the hospital, where he was initially listed in stable condition, Robertson said. But at about 11:40 p.m., he died, the NOPD said.
