New Orleans firefighters are on the scene of a two-alarm blaze in the Milan area. The fire was reported sometime before 2 p.m. in the 3400 block of Carondelet Street near the intersection with Louisiana Avenue, according to a New Orleans Fire Department spokesman.
The fire comes a day after a three-alarm blaze destroyed three houses in Central City, displacing 12 people who escaped uninjured. Pat O'Brien's bar on Bourbon Street also experienced a one-alarm fire on Wednesday that was quickly extinguished.
