A Jefferson Parish man died Monday night after he lost control of his SUV on the Interstate 10 twin-span bridges between New Orleans and Slidell, authorities said.
John Crosby, 69, was driving east on the bridge about 8:30 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, his SUV hit a guard rail. He died at the scene, said Officer Garry Flot, a New Orleans Police Department spokesman.
An autopsy found Crosby died of multiple internal injuries suffered during the crash, said John Gagliano, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office’s chief investigator.
