NEW ORLEANS -- At the stroke of midnight, Mardi Gras officially comes to an end.
On Fat Tuesday, the ticking clock, rain and cold couldn't keep the crowd away from Bourbon Street, where the party kept on going.
The drumbeat had the power to draw die-hard revelers out into the rain and 40 degree weather.
“We drove 23 hours to get here,” said one fan.
