BELLE CHASSE, LA (WVUE) - A Belle Chasse mother is charged with first degree murder after she allegedly poisoned her 2 year-old son with alcohol, according to a spokesman with the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office.
Erika Wigstrom, 20, confessed to poisoning her son twice with alcohol, hand sanitizer and perfume.
Police say while the toddler was in the hospital in December 2012, the child's feeding tube was injected with perfume.
The toddler was identifed as Lucas Ruiz.
