A Los Angeles judge ordered Darren Sharper held without bail Thursday after an Arizona grand jury this week charged him with sexually assaulting and drugging two women in that state last year.
The former Saints safety’s attorneys tried to persuade Superior Court Judge Renee Korn to release him on house arrest, but Korn said she would do so only if authorities in Arizona set bail, according to media reports.
That appeared to be a long shot.
