Quarter noise law revision studied

The City Council will take another crack at revising New Orleans’ sound ordinance this week.

David Woolworth, the hired sound expert for the Council’s Housing and Human Needs Committee, agreed Monday to work with members to begin writing a draft ordinance governing sound in the city’s Vieux Carre entertainment district, with plans to finish it in time for it to be to read into the record at the council’s meeting at the end of the month.
