New Orleans police department's 5th District officersand city officials will host a community anti-crime walk through the 7thWard neighborhood on Wednesday July 31.
Those who wish to participate are asked to meet at the intersectionof St. Bernard Avenue and North Villere Street between 5:30-5:45 p.m. The walkbegins at 6 p.m., according to police.
The crime walk will start at North Villere Street and head inan eastbound direction towards Frenchman Street. Once at Frenchman Street, thewalk will head towards North Robertson Street then back to the intersection of St.Bernard Ave and North Villere to disband, police said.
Police encourage anyone in the community who wishes to participate to attend.
