New Orleans, La. - Police are looking for a suspect who tried to rob and then shot a man who was walking back to his hotel early Thursday morning.
Police said the victim was walking in the 1100 block of Perdido Street at about 2:35 a.m. when he was approached by a suspect who demanded his wallet. When the victim refused, the suspect shot him in the arm and fled the scene on a silver bicycle.
The victim was hospitalized and being treated for his injuries.
The suspect is described as having a young black man with a medium complexion, short haircut and thin build. He was clean shaven. The subject was said to be wearing a gray shirt and dark jeans and riding a silver BMX-style bicycle.
