NEW ORLEANS - The Civil Service Commission on Friday sided with 11 reassigned high-ranking current and former New Orleans Police officers, saying they are entitled to a 10 percent pay increase given to Public Integrity Bureau officers who do similar work.
The 10 police captains and one major, some of whom have since retired, made headlines in 2011 and 2012 when they were reassigned by Supt. Ronal Serpas to a newly-created Administrative Support Unit, and then given a trailer in which to work.
