New Orleans, La. With temperatures dropping, the City of New Orleans is taking steps to make sure the homeless are protected from potentially freezing weather. The city announced Wednesday morning that it is putting the freeze plan in effect. The city expects the temperature or wind chill factor in New Orleans to fall to 35 degrees or below overnight on Wednesday, November 27 and Thursday, November 28, 2013.
With the cold temperatures in place, the city is reminding all citizens to take appropriate precautions to protect themselves from the potentially dangerous effects of this weather.
