Responding to an order from the Archdiocese of New Orleans that all Catholic schools must comply with new, uniform grade structures, Holy Cross School administrators announced Monday they will add a lower school at a satellite campus, meaning the all-boys institution will serve students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
Meanwhile, St. Augustine High School and Christian Brothers School continue to explore their options for coming into compliance with the order.
Archbishop Gregory Aymond announced in January that beginning with the 2015-16 academic year, all Catholic elementary schools must offer pre-kindergarten through seventh grade, while high schools must offer eighth through 12th grades to remain affiliated with the archdiocese.
