The St. Tammany Parish District Attorney's office has filed felony charges against the owner of a Metairie moving company and two of his employees who were arrested in June for allegedly withholding a Mandeville customer's property when she would not pay a grossly inflated bill.
Dunwoodie A. McDuffie III, Amanda Brown Neil and William F. Jeffery Jr. are charged with one count each of extortion and unauthorized use of a movable.
Mandeville Police launched an investigation into Mr. Move in May, after a woman complained to investigators that the company would not return her property when she refused to pay more than double the amount the company originally quoted her.
